Rock 'n' Roll has been kept alive constantly by dedicated Teds and Rockers at various venues in and around Crondall village since at least the 1960's at Castle pub which is now a residential building, next door to the village hall & Church rooms (of which there is footage of, from the 70's on our DVD Vol 2 ) which is next to the old Castle pub building. Another venue haunted in the area back in the late 70's/early '80s - Tumbledown Dick Pub in Farnborough.
Crondall village hall has been a venue for Crondall rock 'n' roll club since it was opened on 26th November 1976, and has been run by various promoters continuously.
These pictures are of past times of the club and of the people who helped to keep it going by their gratefully appreciated continuous support over the years gone by.

Each year, Farnham town organises a carnival.
During 1978 & 1979, The Teds & Rockers from Crondall Rock 'n' Roll club, which
was then referred to as Crondall Rock 'n' Roll society took part in these
parades. The pics that follow have captured some of those moments.
1978 - Rock 'n' roll band Crepes & Drapes often played at Crondall in the early days. The band later became known as ' Chevrolet ' (Not sure if they were Crepes & Drapes or Chevrolet at this particular time)
More pictures from Farnham carnival 1978. The guy in the blue drape (left & centre pic) goes by the name of Howard, who is known to still be rockin' around somewhere.
The other Ted at front of procession in these pics in the dark drape suit is Lee Adams, also in the pic on the right.
These pictures where taken at Farnham carnival 1979. The bands name is Hound Dog.
And good old Howard appears once again in between two of his mates (centre pic) Martin Smith on his left, Colin Mullins on his right. Where are you Howard? A few people would like to see you again!
In The Hart car park,
Farnham, at the start of the carnival 1979.
From left to right:- Alan Cameron*
( who many years later, became Wildcat Pete's*
brother in law, through marriage to his sister, Audrey*.)
/ Alan's brother - Ian / A guy known then as Tom Dooley with his girlfriend /
And Mr Wildcat Pete himself.
The car flying the rebel
flags belonged to Mr Wildcat.
As wildcat drove it around the carnival as slow as he could, the others & more
parked themselves on top of the car. Of course, with all the excess weight, the
car overheated, and they all ended up havin' to push it instead. Apparently, it
was quite a good laugh at the time.
